Du 04 Novembre 2014 au12 Novembre 2014: Exposition Typozine et Velozine
TYPO ET VéLO ZINE
Vernissage le 6 Novembre à 19h.
Galerie «Friches & nous,la paix.»
22 bis rue Dénoyez - 75020 Paris
Exposition du 4 au 12 novembre 2014.
Sérigraphie, vélos, typographie. Génie de l’artisanat. Travail collectif.
More info about TYPOZINE
Letters become words and words transform into a text. Then the
created text becomes overloaded with various meanings which grab
the readers’ attention so much that it makes the letters transparent,
almost invisible.
Some might claim that it should stay this way, that the typo should be
just invisible, communicative and clear.
Ha! Not this time. Typozine wants to make a letter a hero. Clearly,
it might not be the hero you remember from the famous poems.
It is because Typozine is interested in a letter as a sign or picture,
which is basically a creation free from any kind of pragmatism.
1 Zine + 28 Typographic Posters
Typozine is an idea brought by Kwiaciarnia Grafiki and Urban Pirates.
It is a collection of fonts created by modern typographers -
fans of letters [Michal Škapa, Sp38, Janek Bersz/Full Metal Jacket,
Lukasz Dziedzic, Fontarte, Pawel Ryzko, UVMW, Nina Gregier,
Jakub HAKOBO Stepien, Valery Virag, Przemek Kopczyk,
Wiur DOA, Kalina Mozdzynska, Bartek Bojarczuk, Bartek Janczak,
Icon OSC, Michal Swoboda, Theosone, Viktoryia Grabowska,
Kamil Slomianowski, Mateusz WLK Wolski, Inessa Kamardina,
Dasha Levchuk, Pawel Lachowicz, Jan Bajtlik, Edgar Bak,
Jarema Drogowski, Jakub PIONTY Jezierski]. It is going to be more or
less like a “font book” or a subjective review of modern typography.
There are only dozens of Typozines copies.
Typozine is promoted with the typographic posters. We want the
posters to release the letter from its basic informative function.
We don’t want to read the letter, we want to see it. Each of the invited
artists has created a poster using their own designed font.
